About

Granipex®

The history of Granipex begins with the Luso-Brazilian Arlindo de Souza, who founded the Dois Irmãos stone depot in the city of Rio de Janeiro, marking the start of a trajectory of excellence in the sector.

With a strategic vision, his youngest son, Armando de Sousa, took over the management and drove the company’s expansion into the international market, establishing Granipex as one of Brazil’s leading exporters and advancing the company’s internationalization with the foundation of Eurogranipex in Portugal. Today, the company continues its trajectory with the entry of the third generation, represented by grandsons João Sousa, Commercial Director, and Gabriel Sousa, Production Director.

With its own quarries in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and Bahia, Granipex ensures full control over extraction and production, guaranteeing the authenticity and quality of its products, which are now sold in over 50 countries.

The company has a modern natural stone processing industry, equipped with cutting-edge technology to offer customized cuts and finishes, meeting the diverse needs of the market by producing countertops, flooring, cladding, landscaping elements, and more.

Granipex offers an exclusive product line that includes gneisses such as Lucerna, Petrosa, Harpia, Branco Carioca, and Yellow Grumari; Slate; and quartzites such as Verde Corcovado, Branco, Amarelo, and Rosa.
